The chair was a perfect height, and an invitation for us.
Justin: Arriving to The Atlantic on a 28 degree day with tropical Byron Bay weather, we were greeted with a friendly smile and a wonderfully relaxed vibe. The Atlantic is surrounded by lush palm trees, green grass and white weatherboard coastal style buildings. We knew this was going to be good.
The rooms have large antique style mirrors and are styled with a modern resort theme. The highlight of our room was the broad terrace that boasted a large outdoor rainfall shower head and swing chair hanging from the roof.
The chair was a perfect height, and an invitation for us: bathed in sunlight, I lifted Jess into the seat and gently massaged away the journey, gently caressing her, making sure I matched the swinging motion of the suspended chair. She hung there happily in my arms.
Later, after sunset, we finally left our room and made our way to a fire pit surrounded by deckchairs where guests could sit around, talk, and enjoy a few locally brewed stone and wood ales. This we did.
Jess: The next morning, the warm Byron weather called for a dip in the warm, crystal blue pool. The hotel has so many great activities; we loved taking the surf boards to the amazing local beaches, which are only a two minute walk up the road, and making the most of the famous swell... With so much to offer, from playing in the waves, to relaxing by the pool – and especially lounging on our swing – The Atlantic had it all.
